This **** is ridiculous. I'm not sure what y'all are talking about. When I was a kid there wasn't a week that went by when we missed watching The Dukes of Hazzard. I remember my dad even enjoying it, mostly for the car.

It's still sad to see some more of our history and "culture" erased.

I watched a few episodes or at least parts of a few. It was pretty bad. But you couldn't forget Barbara Bach.

Catherine.

Barbara was a Bond girl.

I'm more of a Beatles fan than Dukes of Hazard fan. Remembered the wrong name. Ringo did alright on his own.

I wasn't much of a fan but the Dukes were better that 99.9% of what is put out there today.

This. To my knowledge, there isn't a single family TV show on the air right now. Hollywood still makes a decent family movie from time to time (I recommend Max by the way), but nothing insofar as family programming aside from Wheel of Fortune (Jeopardy is too heady for a smaller child).

You didn't miss anything. The only redeeming part of it was Waylon's theme song and even that was probably one of his poorer works. The show was stupid.

Blasphemy! Probably my favorite show as a kid. lol

Haven't heard of it until now, but Googling it does look pretty decent. Will check it out, thanks!

RE: The Madness has gone too far!
"Labeling anyone who has the flag a ‘racist’ seems unfair to those who are clearly 'never meanin' no harm,' " says John Schneider.

“I take exception to those who say that the flag on the General Lee should always be considered a symbol of racism,” Schneider tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Is the flag used as such in other applications? Yes, but certainly not on the Dukes. If the flag was a symbol of racism, then Bo and Luke and Daisy and Uncle Jesse were a pack of wild racists and that could not be further from the truth.”

“Throwing this particular baby out with the bath water seems reactionary and overly PC to me,” Schneider said on Wednesday. “But I do understand that publicly held corporations are in a risk-management business that the rest of us are clearly not in.”

There sure is a ton of junk on today. PBS sometimes has something good on. History and Discovery channels too, but they put so much fluff on there now it's hard to find the interesting stuff. (I mean, really. Bigfoot?) I've watched River Monsters a little but I'm not even sure why. Occasionally on CSPAN or CSPAN 2 they'll have an interesting interview, or discussion of a new book on an interesting topic - not exactly entertaining but educational at least.

Netflix and Amazon have some good programs.

I'll try again.

This is quality work from Waylon. The theme for the Dukes show was a paycheck.

James Best had a great recurring role in the Andy Griffith Show.
