It is mostly D2 and NAIA and some Junior College football games start in mid to the last week of August. It would be a month and a half. Some FBS football games do start in August for TV with some type of classic or something like that.

Well the first Divison 1 FBS/FCS game is North Dakota State vs. Montana on August 29th, which will be on ESPN by the way.
