Can we see the unveiling of the new logos LIVE?

I looked for it, but couldn't find any sort of a link.

Well, nothing startling here. I like it. Maroon color. Basically the same Trojan and (nothing but) Little Rock prominently displayed.

I love it. It should have been done years ago.

At the press conference I saw LRTrojan (the web site stole his name), Festiva, and MJS. Good turn out. They had the conference at the Bailey Center because the Legends Room had an Electrical Fire last week an is being repaired.

I was watching 11 at 5 o'clock, and it wasn't on the 5 o'clock show. I watched FOX16 at 5:30 and 7 at 6 o'clock. Had good coverage on all of them. That must have been on the 6 o'clock portion of 11.

Mary Dunleavy talked us up on 11 at 5:09. They just moved their sports block earlier and it seemed to me that we were considered their main sports story,

The first time I heard UALR referred to as "arkansas-little rock" was during the 1986 NCAA tournament. It thought it was weird-sounding. Apparently branch (hyphenated) schools get this goofy treatment. UNCC and UTC had the good sense to avoid the weirdness for their teams in the media. Now we have finally taken the plunge because, let's face it UALR does not roll easily off the tongue and "youler" is goofy. UAFS was adamant that they not be referred to as "youfus" for good reason.

Well, I can tell you that it was an entirely futile effort. Speaking as a local and an alum, Youfus it now is, and I suspect Youfus it will remain. They ought to just embrace it, get mileage out of it, organize the Youfus Doofuses student rooting section (sort of like the Cheeseheads in Wisc) and get on with life.
