I've been through it. At their busy times they have people walking from window to window taking the orders to speed things up so that you just pay and go without having to talk to the speaker.

Gus' Chicken is awesome. Well worth the wait to get in.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't very good reasons when I say them aloud. I will stick by my convictions, no matter how petty.

KFC: This is more about the particular location closest to me. Either undercooked or overcooked chicken. Consistently inconsistent.

Panera: Just seems to be the place for people go to eat so they can brag about what they ate.

Chipotle: It's Mexican food with no Mexicans in sight. I've said on the AAC board that it's like a Korean Soul food restaurant.

We stopped at Zaxby's this past weekend on the way home and waited almost 30 minutes for our food. I've never waited longer than 5 minutes at a CFA and that's with 2 lanes of drive thru wrapped around the building.

You can not like their food all you want, but their service and efficiency is second to none.

Zaxby's is good but Cane's is way better chicken tenders. I like Abner's in Starkville too.

Yeah. My CFA is in a really small lot. People park at the Ruby Tuesday, AutoZone, and Smithfields just to go in the store.

I never use the drive thru. Parking, ordering, getting it to go, and going is often quicker.

I once walked between two cars in the drive thru lane to get to the door at my local CFA, ordered, sat down and ate, got up to leave and walked between the same two cars.

Once you commit to waiting in line you stay there. Especially if the parking lot has one of those curbs that keep you from getting out of line even if you wanted to.

That's a big reason why I stopped using it. Sitting there, burning gas, staring at the ass-end of the car in front of me, getting more and more pissed. I friggin' hate drive-thrus.

Yep, I believe the Memphis area now has 5-6 Gus' locations if you include the original in Mason TN.

That I agree with. I have never seen a chicken sandwich that has a political leaning. It's good food and good service. Those measure high with me no matter how the owner votes.

The LBGTQ community went after Chick Fil A; they made Chick Fil A a target of their intolerance.

There are no CFA in western New York.

If I was 40 years younger, I'd look into a franchise.

It is funny that Chick-fil-A always gets pointed out for the political leanings of its CEO. The CEO's of Chipotle and Starbucks are just as politically active, but you rarely hear boo made about their political ideology.

I think that is just your area.... I have lived in two major cities in the past decade and most of the employees at Chipotle I have come across are Mexican.

Speaking of Korean Soul Food restaurants, I used to go to a Cajun place in Columbus that was owned and run by Russian immigrants. Kind of funny to hear them go over the menu items in their thick accents.

Most of the Chipotle employees around here are either black or white. I really don't care, I like the food, especially for lunch. If the locations were more convenient, I'd go more often. I'd prefer local, but all the local Mexican places around here are sit down restaurants, which I usually don't feel like dealing with at lunch. There was a food truck that came around every Friday that had better burritos, but he doesn't come here anymore.
