Rice Hall of Fame Class of 2015
http://www.riceowls.com/genrel/063015aab.html

Great class.

The Barker twins in men's tennis
Bubba Crosby
Jarett Dillard
Funmi Jimoh
Holly Jones-Wright
Brent Scott
Lauren Shockley

I've been saying for years Brent needed to be in so I'm happiest about his selection. Now that he is in, they can put Mike Harris in the next class. I really can't complain about any of the picks, except maybe to say that it would have been neat to see Dillard and Chase Clement go in together?

Hard to duplicate the offensive power...
Quote:Crosby was the first Rice player to record six hits in a single game and became the fourth Owl to score 200 career runs. He ranks second only to teammate Lance Berkman in career RBI (243) as well as home runs (59), total bases (499) and slugging percentage (.737).
...Lance and all things Bubba.

Including the "Honorary R" and "Distinguished R" recipients, and not double-counting the Barkers, there are 13 honorees overall. That is a LOT of honorees for a single event.

Anyone know why Holly took so long?

by objective measures, she is probably the best player in the history of the program, and certainly was at the time she graduated.

How about Sam McGuffie?

He's probably the most heralded player Rice has had in modern times.

You could make an argument based on the attention he brought with his HS mixtape.

Even though he was just an average CUSA player.
