Franchione went went 19-21 in the Big 12 and was shown the door.

Sherman went 15-18 in the Big 12 and got fired in a recruits driveway

Sumlin is 13-11 with unbelievable recruiting in the SEC. 6-2, 4-4 and 3-5

A few more 0-59 beatdowns and Kyle Field will look tiny with those 100K seats.

Oneof the most classless moves I've ever seen a school make.

Therein lies the issue - the B1G really only has interest in Texas and Oklahoma in terms of B12 schools. If they dont get them, they won't consider expansion outside of the ACC schools.

You heard him folks! A&M is doomed but Kliff is gonna lead em to the promised land at 12-13, no wins over any opponent who finished ranked yet, lackluster recruiting thats exciting no one and getting blown out by 82 points.

It's just a matter of time!
Better start that 75K expansion right now just to be safe!

It's A&M, what do you expect? This is the school that started the Alamo, classless clown and stink bait.

I'm sure most A&M grads want nothing to do with a rivalry that can't be much closer than it is considering the $$$$ differences.

I hope the TCU fan worries about TCU and let the wife worry about 37-32-104-cheers

A few years in the SEC will make that in favor of Tech. We damn sure made a dent in the SWC and Big 12.

People talk about Alabama/Auburn, Mich/Ohio St but the Red Raiders and Aggies truly hated each other.

That is why Tech will be in the SEC. They need a Texas version of Alabama/Auburn hate. LSU will never fill that void.04-cheers

So a couple of southern academic schools located in great areas would not interest the B1G?
I personally think Rice would be an easy sell to B1G teams. Western schools like getting to play in Houston and they would all love having an academic school that they likely perceive that they could beat up on.

OU, KU, Rice, and 1 of Tulane/UConn/Houston/etc would round out a nice division and get the B1G into a great area.

Without Kliff and Johnny, Sumlins record is even worse.

No Kliff, no Johnny and sumlin now has to rely on his SEC SEC SEC recruits to bail him out. Good luck TCU Fan04-cheers

The best part is that not even you believe that

Tell us again how the school with the worst combination of academics and athletics of any P5 program in the country is going to write their own ticket anywhere!

That's the best part about clowns, they make you laugh!

When the music stops there will be 5 FBS conferences of 16 schools. ACC, B1G, PAC, SEC and the best of the rest(AAC ?).

The music never stops. Just that the pace slows down periodically.

Sure if they came as a package starting with Oklahoma + Rice. Then Kansas + 1 more as a package would work.

But not Kansas without one of Oklahoma/Texas.

Logic is that the B1G is looking for franchise players (football) or new huge markets to expand the BTN, and all have to be academically impressive (even if not AAU).

In the B12 that's Texas and Oklahoma. Once one of them is in, then anyone else could get thrown in of the conference... OU + Rice would make the conference VERY happy as a consolation prize of not getting UT.

If OU, Rice, Kansas and Tulane teamed up for an offer the B1G would have their contract ready in 10 mins.

The SEC needs more fuel fired hate. Will Virginia or any other ACC school add the hate that UT and Tech have for A&M. Bonfire, Classless clowns---- will someone please stand up and make A&M a rival in the SEC

TV likes that kind of excitement-- almost Nascar-ish.

The reason that the B1G would take kU plus another is if the SEC starts things by taking OU and UT. Remember that the SEC is the only conference without a GOR. If and a big if is the SECN money. If the SECN money gets extreme then it will make sense for OU and UT to go to the SEC. I can see the B1G trying to change things at the last minute but ???

Also a question. Since Mizzou went to the SEC as a full member; will all of the next round of expansion have the member start as full members?

If this "were" to happen. I could see the ACC go after Bayor or TCU. Both if ND refuses to join as a full member.

Colin Cowherd said this, not Finebaum, and Cowherd has said it before. He throws out realignment stuff a lot, and always makes it sound like a done deal, when it isn't.

I think it's no secret that every damn body in the Big 12 is looking at leaving, or adding teams, or standing pat. At this point, anything can happen. For the Big 12 to dissolve, 7 or 8 at minimum have to find landing places. Not as easy as it sounds.

1. All schools entering the SEC come in as full members. They always have, and always will.

2. The SEC distributed 31.2 million per school this year. Next year we will have cleared our overhead for the start up of the SECN. The distribution will go up another 9.5 million without adding Oklahoma. With Oklahoma it will be more. The projections 3 years ago before the birth of the SECN was that if the SEC added a Virginia school and North Carolina school to the mix the SECN would hit 45 million in its third year. Now it looks like more.

3. Expansion money is not static. When an Oklahoma joins the SEC they aren't going to make 31.2 million in their first year. They will make more because they will also reap the benefit of the value their brand brings. Should the SEC add another market with a brand we could still go beyond 45 million.

4. The SEC doesn't have a grant of rights. ESPN has a grant of rights for the SECN so no movement can happen without their blessing.

5. Schools that add value at #16: Texas, Virginia Tech/Virginia, North Carolina/N.C.State, Florida State, Kansas

6. If Texas is headed to the PAC it will be to take care of Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and T.C.U. That means that Kansas will likely be headed to the Big 10 and West Virginia will be available to the ACC. Only 1 more need be taken. Who gets them?

7. If the SEC must take a second school from the Big 12 who will it be? Baylor, T.C.U., Kansas State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, or other? Just curious to hear everyone's reasoning.

8. Both Cowherd and Finebaum work for ESPN. I would think this rumor has some merit. The Mouse has been at work behind the scenes for a while now.

The thing is, everyone focuses on Texas and Oklahoma and rightfully so. That's two. But I think there's enough value to bring in Kansas, K-State, WVU, OSU, Tech, Baylor, and TCU if they were to shake loose. They may not be worth while to try and poach from where they're at, but it's not like they're all complete scrub programs. They each have value that could make taking them to expedite the contraction of the P5 down to a P4 worth while...along with the values of being a P4.

Oklahoma State, IMO, would be best suited to go to the SEC.

I would be surprised if we doubled down in Oklahoma. But, program wise the Cowboys and the Mountaineers would be decent fits, not optimum, but decent.
