I know Houston was making a legislative move to force themselves into the Big 12, Cincy is not surprising, best for them and West Virginia.

Will that not put the sbc down 2 more teams.
that being said shouldnt the sbc go ahead and prepare for the day this occurs and wouldnt it be nice had they already done this?
what if: they go to 14 and add 4 teams?

If they go to 14, and they could, they still have BYU and probably Memphis that would be added. But like I said in another thread, I've heard mention of Nebraska might want back in the Big 12.

I say we go after USM, MTSU and WKU if this happens. Screw waiting to be raided, hit CUSA when they get raided.

No one is leaving CUSA for The Belt . . . Not No Way . . . Not No How . . . .

They will leave if their conference is raided and the SBC actually bands together. If they have no one to replace teams with, other then FCS move ups, any of those three teams will listen.

But it takes a little loyalty by the current SBC members to make it happen. Also, CUSA could lose a team, 2 if UAb actually plays again, and they will still be at 12.

That's something to consider. Depending on what the new CUSA media contract is looking like---staying at 12 might look more attractive.

That last bit has historically been problem.

Depending upon whom/how many CUSA loses, they'll just do what they've always done . . . And pluck whatever they need from the current Sun Belt Roster . . While we then scramble to find FCS start ups to fill our holes . . . .

As to loyalty, we're ALL loyal . . . Til the phone rings. . . With that CUSA invite . . .

Jacksonville State is about 40th on the list of real contenders to move into the Sun Belt.

For God's sake give it up on here for a while.

We've heard your pleas and aren't interested.

Since Oklahoma s AD came out with his preference for 12 it has been widely reported that no one else in the Big 12 agrees with him. Don t count on any additions to the Big 12.

You are wrong, if UAb never comes back to life, and the SBC loses either Alabama team, JSU will and should be on the next up list.

cant see Texas, which pretty much rules the Big 12, agreeing to Houston joining, they have enough competition in state at the P5 level, no reason to add another competitor.
