The seating event at FEF
There were TONS of newly opened seats available. I'd venture to say there were 2,000 or more that opened up this year. Scary..

That's gotta be it. Just common sense-right? Only thing that makes sense.

thats ridiculous, the Fire Josh Pastner Campaign did not raise $1,000 toward his buyout and the support Josh Pastner page has 22,000 members Link

I am sure those 22k fans have already paid the $$$ to scoop up those couple thousand available seats 03-idea

Why should any fan pay a nickel towards a buyout of an unrealistic contract they didn’t make?

And how much funding has the 22k on the support Pastner Page raised to anchor his $2.6M contract? When he leaves will they ditch Memphis to follow and support him at his new university?

Highly unlikely, but looks like some already ditched their university.

Look at what happened when football was allowed to rot. Fans just stopped going to games, most too painful to watch. This wasn’t the fans fault it was squarely on the university especially the athletic dept.

Now we have the university and some fans that are willing to stay the course after several underachieved seasons in basketball. There is also a segment of the fanbase who don’t think the current program will ever be competitive on a consistent basis and have decided to move on.

It’s simple. If you like something continue to do it and if not, don’t.

Last season was the first time since the 1989/1990 season that I didn't have either student tickets or season tickets. 25 years.

I'll probably get them again at some point, but not sure when.

We were there saturday at 130. There were lots of folders on chairs. Worked out really well for us though. We like the Jeffersons this year.

Certainly a good opportunity to move to better seats if you can wallow through this last year of Pastner.

According to twitter and my interpretation of the image, they're by the basket, on the floor or front row behind it.

RE: The seating event at FEF
Wife and I were down there also, and also saw many carded seats in the lower bowl and club level. We renewed in lower bowl, but dropped from 7 season tix to 4 (3 that were dropped were by other people who won't renew till Pastner's gone). I talked to one of our athletic administrators and he told me that the athletic office is very aware of how many season tix were dropped, and it was stated by many why they dropped their season tix (guess why and to what individual they mention for their reason), but also said they'd be back when a certain problem is taken care of. And no, it wasn't that they were giving up their tix to go over to the Grizz (apologies to those who continually push the Grizz on this board), but were just frustrated with the direction of the program under Pastner.....On a good note, he did say that football season tix sales were up over last year.
