Why should I care what some tool in Seattle thinks about the South?

I'm not talking crap to you, but I really don't care what some liberal with little man's syndrome thinks of 'my' culture or area of the country.

I agree wholeheartedly with your thought. This article just happened to be seen by me, as I try to see what the thoughts are around the country.

Compared to most of his fellow-liberals, David Brooks is moderate, fair-minded, willing to acknowledge evidence against his own position, and seems genuinely interested in opposing viewpoints. All that said, his views and mine overlap only on very rare occasions and in the ~20ish years or so that I have known about him or his writings, I can't think of a single instance where he caused me to hold a different opinion.

WGAS what the northeast libs or loons on the left coast think. Let 'em keep their special brand of crazy in those places and leave us down south alone. We cant help it if:
- the pace of life is slower and more genteel
- the women are better looking
- the weather is better
- the food is better
- the people are friendlier

and on and on

I have some friends down here from the PNW. They don't plan on moving back.

Good move. It's a changed place. I used to live there and it was a fairly decent place then. Not so at all now. Mullinsworld used to live there. Not now. He's moved to Boise, ID. Have not checked his profile lately but here's his comment on the move. "Yeah need to change the profile. I'm in Boise hope everything's going well for you".

Quite a guy.

The PNW has changed a lot.
