ND gets $9 million a year plus stock options from Under Armour.

How bogus are these numbers? Oregon isn't listed for Nike and they are probably the largest contributor to the Ducks athletic program.

Those contributions to UO come from Phil Knight and his family. I doubt that Nike Inc. makes contributions to UO outside of apparel/shoe sponsorships.

You are right about that Wedge. But the Nike presence is massive at Oregon even if it through the Knight family.

They need to look more closely at head coach contracts with their school, to find more money from Nike et al.

At Cal, Dykes' employment contract specifies that part of his compensation comes from Nike. IIRC the Nike portion is over $1 million/year.

These numbers are bogus. UCONN signed a deal worth $4.6 Million per year with Nike in 2008. The deal was for 10 years.

Right, it's quite a lot. Before Uncle Phil started donating large sums, Oregon was at best in the middle of the Pac in athletic spending. Pat Kilkenny (who was briefly Oregon's AD) has also made large donations, but not on the scale of Knight.
