Rendon back off DL
Tough luck too as he was starting to heat up at the plate. Quad strain again.

Sadly it seems that Anthony is, or has, been injury plagued much of his playing career. He certainly was at Rice and it seems to continue.....hope it's not forever!!

That stinks. I will be in Atlanta next week and was looking forward to seeing the series between Atlanta and Washington.

RE: Rendon back on DL
At least I got to see Aardsma pitch tonight. He gave up one hit and one unearned run in one inning. His fastball was hitting 91.

EDIT: Unbelievably, the official scorer gave Bryce Harper a double on a ball that the center fielder dropped on a difficult (but catchable) line drive.

I watched that one live on TV. That ball was in the pocket, yet bounced off the heel of his palm and out the top before he could close on it. Should have been an error all the way.

No word on when Rendon will be back, but he apparently was interacting with fans on the @masnNationals Twitter account today.

I don't mind the facial hair. Now those uniforms are a different matter.

Rendon activated for tonight's game. He was 8 of 17 with 3 walks in his rehab assignment. Rendon just hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run to extend the Nationals lead to 5-0 in the 6th. He's playing 2nd.

RE: Rendon back off DL
In Sunday's game at Pittsburgh, Ant hit a pinch single in the 8th.

The ESPN.com game story said:

ESPN.com Wrote:Anthony Rendon was out of the lineup after he started Saturday in his first game back from a left quad strain. He singled as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning. Rendon played in 18 of 19 games before he suffered the injury, which followed a left knee sprain that delayed the start of his season until June 4. The Nationals plan to limit his workload as he progresses back to playing every day.
