No one in the modern era has left the Big Ten. It is suppose to be the pinnacle of Conference Sports. For Nebraska who competes well in Big Ten to take their football and go home to a lesser conference is a black eye. Also who would fill that void?? Missouri?? Then the roller coaster would start all over again. I actually don't see it happening because no one has ever left the BigTen in the modern era.

Nebraska probably misses it's rivals as well. These P5 schools are making so much money that it doesn't really matter if you move from one to another, as long as you remain in one. Besides, BYU and Nebraska would increase the BIG12 TV payout. They both bring a lot of value.

Nebraska is NOT going back to the Big 12. You live in an alternative universe.

Listen, if you guys on the Rice board are gonna talk about Rice realistically getting into a P5, then I certainly can talk about Nebraska moving from one P5 to another. Who's really delusional here?

Hell, I saw somewhere on CSNBBS a few months ago someone saying ECU to the Big XII. Folks, this kind of speculating, it's just "silly season" talk.

To expect they are going to be able to recruit to and compete at the Big XII level is not realistic.

UConn also was in that conference before it added football. That's an advantage that no P5 conference can offer. No P5 conference is going to grant a football invitation to an unaffiliated FCS school.

Right, but when they started a football program and added it to the Big East they went from not having a team to a BCS team. They aren't there now but they got the big check for more than a decade. And yes their basketball was already in the Big East, but you can't know what these guys will do. Saying this or that won't happen is just foolish. None of it would surprise me.

They played in the Big East when it was a BCS AQ conference, but yeah, they were already in the conference when it became that.

It is totally absurd for anyone at either La Tech (or ULL) to even speak in terms of Big 12 membership. Some people let their dreams cloud reality. They shouldn't do that. It's very stupid.

I am going on the recorded that this thread should be deleted as none of the CUSA teams are inline for the Big 12 for the next 20 years at least. Yes, getting the B12 money would make any program viable but the halves have the money and they aren't sharing it.
