There was never a chance of a race war. In another 10 years, the hard core racists (both black and white) will be so old that they won't be able to do much more than shout about getting off of their lawns.

Correct, and that gives me hope, that the people of this nation who live to love significantly outnumber the people who live to hate.

It just kind of shocked me to see some of the arguing taking place on this board and in social media, that was triggered by this event. It was sickening to think he actually may have nudged some people in the direction he wanted, even a little.

could you imagine if the people who loved were as passionate as the people such as roof who hate? this world would be much better off.

We used to be a country where we recognized that people could have disagreements. Now every disagreement turns immediately into accusations of hatred both ways. Until we can grow past that, our future as a nation is in dire jeopardy.

The only tension I see is in this forum. Everyone else is holding hands and agreeing to remove the flag. I'm proud of you America.
