I'll never forget when i traveled to NYC as a member of UC's econ society. We sat with UC grads in exec Wall Street positions. To a man, ALL had glowing things to say about Nancy Z.

For the first time in any of their memories UC was making an active attempt at reaching out to promienet UC alum on the east coast and soliciting them for ideas/ inputs/ etc.

She got the ball rolling. There may be no Ono w/o the work she did BEYOND athletics to get UC where it is now.

I get it, we're on a sports board and the majority of folks are gonna view it through a sports colored goggles. However, there's a grander vision and purpose for the university and she did well in speeding things along.

LOL! Ever try to read the "All Things Realignment" thread? That thread is the biggest farce on the board... you'd be lucky to find more than 50% of the posts being about realignment.

Zimpher accepted the SUNY position in 2009; it really shows how she has divided the fan base and the hatred she spawned.
