Actually the Miami/FTL/WPB MSA of 6.0 million is about the same as the I-4 corridor if you include the four MSA's from Tampa to Daytona Bch (TMP = 2.9M; ORL = 2.3M; LakeLand = .6M and Daytona = .6M) of about 6.4 million. The four MSA's along the I-4 corridor are made up of 11 Counties where the Miami MSA is made up of just 3.
So two public universites for each area serves equivalent populations.

I actually like the idea of a trophy for the Texas teams, but I think it was one of the North Texas guys who came up with the idea first. Joe, was that your idea?
It could include the four current CUSA schools and the two on the way back.
I actually see CUSA going to 16 with another Texas program with a lot of "talent" to bring to the mix.
Then it will be UTEP, UTSA, UNT, Rice, and.. Texas State.
That said, I still think the Rice-UNT "Wings of Flight" rivalry makes the most sense for a trophy.
I'd be cool with that.
