I hope he does well and gets a degree. He was a nice young man, but just not an SBC player.

RE: Jerron Washington transferring to Monticello
If you're serious, Jerron was a juco who came in last year from a Tennessee school, along with his teammate Andre Brown. They hardly played. Jerron played a little more than Andre. He was pretty athletic, but neither could shoot the ball. Never met Andre, but Jerron was a very personable young man who played hard. Just wasn't a D1 player, IMO.

How could anyone tell if he was a D1 player are not the way Shields treated him and the other kid from Memphis they never had a chance from the beginning, but they were recruited for reason. Shields killed their careers like so many others.

RE: Jerron Washington transferring to Monticello
Jerron did get some playing time, and he showed some good defensive skills, but obviously not enough to overcome his lack of scoring ability at this level. Whether or not Steve killed his career, I can't say. Steve is gone. Chris is here. New era.
Past is past. Nothing we can do about that. Moving forward.

RE: Jerron Washington transferring to Monticello
I never saw him play, so I really can't give an honest opinion, so I no idea of whether or not Steve ruined this player, and I'd guess probably not. The fact is, he never should have been signed in the first place. Based on what I've read here of his past stats, he obviously wasn't a D-l player, even at this level.
