Wisconsin has tall kids who can shoot 3's, and you will find them scattered around the country. But not too many schools at our level, or above, for that matter, have a 6-9 kid who can shoot 3s like Mareik Isom did last season. (We can say that now that we officially admitted that he is 6-9.)

He will have a great year under Coach Beard and his system. I had said earlier in a post that he is as good or better than Hunter at Georgia State. He just couldn't play to his potential under Coach Shields. I look for him to have an explosive season (unless the injury Gods strike)(knock on wood)

Hunter might have been a better ball handler, but he was not a great shooter.

Did Hunter finish his eligibility? I'm not ready to concede Mo is as good as Hunter just yet, but he has two seasons to have a chance to fulfill his potential. If he turns out to be as good as Hunter, he'll have a good chance at playing at the highest level. And if he does play at that level, with the others we have capable of playing at a high level, we'll have a great chance to win it all. Not predicting that. Not even predicting how many games we'll win. But we could be pretty darn good. I just want the men's team to come up to the level of the women.

IMO Mareik is as good as Hunter. He just did not get to play enough under Steve. I'll see all home games and most road games and am looking forward to my greatest fan season ever!

I hope you're right, but you're making a prediction that the new kids will be able to play at the level it takes to win the Sun Belt, and we haven't even seen them on the court. And some are Juco's. But at least we have some hope with the numbers they put up in Juco, compared with the number of past recruits we've had. You know the ones with the 3.0 ppg averages. Sounds like something that eh9198 might agree with me on.

Absolutely. Haven't been this excited about our recruits since Neighbour and White came aboard.
