If that happens then Ole Miss will be our Superbowl (if it's not already). You couldn't print enough tickets for that game and tailgating will be off the chains.

The black bears aren't anyone's superbowl. Lol. You guys crack me up. I wonder how many will even show after they get their brains beat in by bama and Florida. I wouldn't be surprised if they have 3 loses by the time we play them

Bowling Green worries me. We should have never scheduled that game

Yes, every time Ole Miss or UT is on our schedule, it is our super bowl. Like it or not. A ton can be gained by beating them. More than beating any other team on our schedule. 07-coffee3

Son, I am disappoint.

If we are scared of playing a MAC team then we might as well head back down to Crap USA.

We'll knock their teeth out just like we did MTSU last year.

If we lose either of those games then we aren't all that we are supposed to be. I get that they are away games, and that they are the first two games. But if we are truly a program that has turned the corner, then we have to win those games. We have to win those games.

One of the local experts at the Bobcat is expecting the Rebels to be a double digit favorite come October.

That is fair,

Don't they have the same DLine they had last year. If so I still see us having issues blocking that.

I with you on that one, their coach comes from the Art Briles tree (Baylor), and they have this WR, Robbie Rhodes, who is supposed to be awesome ('course he does like the weed). Bowling Green is my worry for the team.

RE: Early lines for Memphis
Doable if we play our game.

Bowling Green Falcons (8-6 overall, 5-3 conference)
Coach Dino Babers (second season 8-6 at Bowling Green and FBS overall)
Returning Starters: 18, 11 offense, 5 defense, 2 special teams
Recruiting Rank: 97
Strength of Schedule: 98 (47.6%)

Intro
From the lows of enduring a three-game losing streak to end the regular season to the highs of celebrating a bowl victory over South Alabama in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, the 2014 season for Bowling Green was a roller-coaster.

Looking to build from the success of the bowl win and an 8-6 overall mark with a division-winning 5-3 record in the MAC East, second-year coach Dino Babers revamped his coaching staff for the 2015 season as four new assistants were named.

Kim McCloud moves from defensive coordinator to assistant head coach, wide receivers coach Sean Lewis switches from wide receivers coach to quarterbacks, Mike Lynch goes from tight ends coach to the offensive line and Tom Freeman comes from the defensive line to coach the offensive line.

“The changes made to the coaching staff will help the program further develop going forward into next season,” Babers said. (BGSUFalcons.com)

Offense
Another issue Babers will have conflict with is a stiff quarterback competition between junior James Knapke and redshirt junior Matt Johnson. Knapke, who took Johnson’s place after a season-ending broken hip in the opener at Western Kentucky, started 13 games while throwing for 3,173 yards and 15 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.

The top two rushers return for the Falcons in senior Travis Greene and junior Fred Coppet. Greene ran for 949 yards and scored 12 touchdowns, while Coppet went for 764 yards on the ground and ran for six touchdowns. Andre Givens will also be counted as a playmaker for BGSU. The senior running back finished second on the team in touchdowns with eight, while accumulating 479 yards on the ground.

Sophomore wide receiver Roger Lewis will look to continue to build on his impressive freshman season. In 14 games, Lewis led the team in yards (1,093), receptions (73) and touchdowns (seven). Lewis’s signature game came in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl as he caught four passes for an astounding 137 yards and two touchdowns.

A strength for the offense will definitely be the experience in the trenches with all five starters back; the five have a whopping 134 career starts.

Defense
On the defensive side of the ball, Bowling Green will look to improve from 108th in points against last season, allowing 33.5 points per game. To make matters worse, the Falcons will have to make up for the loss of its top two tacklers in Gabe Martin and Brian Sutton. Martin led the Falcons in the total tackles with 115, while Sutton finished behind with 104. Sophomore tackle Gus Schwieterman tallied 7.5 tackles for loss a season ago and sophomore back Nick Johnson is a threat in the secondary with five picks as a freshman.

Special Teams
Placekicker Tyler Tate returns for his senior season as he made 23-of-29 (79.3 percent) on field goals in 2014. Sophomore Clint Stephens is an asset on kick return as he brought one back to the house last year.

Recruiting
Bowling Green hauled in just the CFP No. 97 recruiting class, but they did manage to bring in James Morgan, a consensus top 25 freshman quarterback. Morgan is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports. The Falcons also signed a defensive asset in freshman back Antonyo Sotolongo, who recorded 15 career interceptions as a prep.

“We are excited to welcome these hard working student-athletes to BGSU and the Falcon football family,” Babers said about his signing class. “My staff has worked incredibly hard to recruit these young men which Falcon fans will be proud of for years to come. We can’t wait to get this class on campus and get to work with them.”

Outlook
BGSU’s non-conference slate will be no easy task as it will make toad trips to Tennessee, Maryland and Purdue highlight its 2015 schedule, plus a home game against Memphis. If the Falcons can make it through the first four with enough confidence still intact, then Bowling Green could do some damage in conference play.

*Recruiting analysis and statistic listings compiled by Justin Burnette.

Nah, they're not that good. They got exposed by LSU last year. But we don't have a monstrous O-line to plow right over them with, so it could be a little hairy. But as far as SEC D-lines go? Average at best. Racking up stats against the sisters of the poor.

I hate Ole Miss but calling their D Line average in the SEC is ridiculous. Their stats were just about equal with Bama's in tackles for loss and sacks.
