Sportsbook operator CG Technology released its college football conference championship odds on Monday...Ohio State getting 1/2 Odds to win the B1G is amazing:

Those odds are not even close to being "fair" to the bettors. (Of course, any bettor who expects fairness from the house is not being realistic.)

Just a couple of examples: Middle-of-the-pack teams should have much longer odds to win the title. The 6th choice in the Pac-12 (Arizona) and the 5th choice in the Big 12 (Texas) are both given only 7-1 odds.

Utah is only 10-1 -- they're picked 5th in their 6-team division, but you only get 10-1 odds to bet on them to win the whole conference? They also pick Arkansas to finish 5th in the SEC West, yet only give you 10-1 for them to win the SEC. Both of those should be at least 20-1, maybe higher.

Surprisingly, the odds are equally unfair amongst the conferences. A bettor would get roughly 40 cents per dollar bet.
