RE: Projections for 2015?
FWIW (maybe not much) back during the winter I took a copy of:
-the other CAA teams game notes from when they played JMU or from their last games
-off the CAA website the All CAA team & list of players of players who made the handful of All American lists
and this is what it shows (listed in order of losing the most to least) in terms of starting 22 (some teams listed starting 23), All CAA & AA, & QBs
Lose unless otherwise noted:
1. UNH: 12 starters, 9 of 12 who made All CAA, both All Americans (OL & TE), 1 of 2 starting QBS.
2. UR: 11 starters, 8 of 11 who made All CAA, All American OL, both starting QBs.
3. SBU: 9 starters, 6 of 9 who made All CAA, All American safety. Return their starting QB.
3. VU: 8 starters, 6 of 9 who made All CAA, 1 of 3 All Americans (return Robertson at QB and LB Cherry).
5. UD: 10 starters, 5 of 7 who received All CAA, All American TE, 3 year starting QB.
6. W&M: 7 starters, 5 of 9 who received All CAA, All American & CAA Defensive POTY DE. Return starting QB.
7. Albany: 7 starters, 3 of 5 who received All CAA, 3 year starting & school record holding QB.
8. Elon: 7 starters, 3 of 4 who received All CAA, 3 year starting QB
9. URI: 7 starters, 2 of 3 who received All CAA, starting QB.
10. TU: 5 starters, 3 of 5 who received All CAA, both All Americans (DE & CB). Return starting QB.
11. Maine: 4 starters, 2 of 5 who received All CAA. Return both starting QBs.
Course some teams will have had unexpected off season losses like JMU has had, and I don't know who got what as far as transfers, which are a crap shoot anyway...
