Projections for 2015?
My SWAG FWIW...

Morehead State, W 1-0
Lehigh, W 2-0
Albany, W 3-0/1-0
at SMU, L 3-1 (but this will be very close late)
Stony Brook, W 4-1/2-0
at Towson, W 5-1/3-0
at Elon, W 6-1/4-0
Richmond, W 7-1/5-0
at W&M, W 8-1/6-0
at Delaware, L 8-2/6-1 (only because I figure we'll lose a CAA game)
Nova, W 9-2/7-1

first round bye
host 2nd round game... W 10-2
travel for quarterfinal game... W 11-2
travel for semifinal game... L 11-3

Just a hunch. Go Dukes! This really could be a very special season if the defense steps up. I believe Vad and company will light up the scoreboard just about every week.

RE: Projections for 2015?
I still have concerns about out defense, so I think that we drop one more that we shouldn't.

yep, until I see a much improved defense, we're good for 2 FCS losses at bare minimum, probably 3. Vad Lee will need to bail out the under-performing defense way too many times this season.

RE: Projections for 2015?
We definitely have a schedule that allows us to run the table, but I think we may hit a snag or two along the way.
9-2 (both losses in CAA), with loss in quarterfinals due to tough bracket placement. The team we lose to will be in the Championship game.

I always like to see the predictions where people think we will lose one or two games and then go ballistic when we actually do; even though they predicted it!

Massey predictions. He isn't going to do a good job of accounting for a teams adds and losses personnel wise. More like taking a range of the last few years and assume your team will be within that. Lot of wins on the schedule.

RE: Projections for 2015?
Our defense was bad and we lost 3 guys who will be in NFL camps at least. If Moreland is eligible I think we have a good corner tandem and a 3rd (which you need badly with these spread offenses) in Tutt. Safety is a concern. We have not been good in the secondary for too long. It's really time to play better there. We've given up enough 3rd and twelves.

I'm equally concerned about the OL as I am the defense. Lots of unproved commodities on the OL protecting Vad this season.

Hopefully everyone on this board will go to the games if they are able and see for themselves how things turnout.

Projections for 2015?
Nova is the only team on the schedule that's a real concern. They lost a ton of talent so I'm not sure JR can carry them. We beat UR at home and we have W&M's number. They still don't have a good QB. We win at SMU. I predict that Nova and JMU will be in the top 5 for the last game and possibly #1 v. #2. We go 11-1 and home for the playoffs.

After the regular season why are you predicting a win in the 1st playoff game but no more?

Have you seen how NDSU shreds through their conference? I'll believe they'll lose a game when I see it. We won't be 1 and 2 matching up.

Projections for 2015?
I was close in my prediction last year and I have us winning all playoff games at home in 2015, not just the first one. I'm not predicting the national championship yet but I will be shocked if we are not in the title game. This coaching staff worked their magic with a short time table in 2014. I think 2015 will be the year of Vad.

People were giving their regular season record predictions and you said 11-1. Can't be 11-1, there are 11 games regular season.

You also predicted JMU would make Frisco last year....

HH&C figured the Spring game in as a win...

RE: Projections for 2015?
FWIW (maybe not much) back during the winter I took a copy of:
-the other CAA teams game notes from when they played JMU or from their last games
-off the CAA website the All CAA team & list of players of players who made the handful of All American lists
and this is what it shows (listed in order of losing the most to least) in terms of starting 22 (some teams listed starting 23), All CAA & AA, & QBs

Lose unless otherwise noted:
1. UNH: 12 starters, 9 of 12 who made All CAA, both All Americans (OL & TE), 1 of 2 starting QBS.
2. UR: 11 starters, 8 of 11 who made All CAA, All American OL, both starting QBs.
3. SBU: 9 starters, 6 of 9 who made All CAA, All American safety. Return their starting QB.
3. VU: 8 starters, 6 of 9 who made All CAA, 1 of 3 All Americans (return Robertson at QB and LB Cherry).
5. UD: 10 starters, 5 of 7 who received All CAA, All American TE, 3 year starting QB.
6. W&M: 7 starters, 5 of 9 who received All CAA, All American & CAA Defensive POTY DE. Return starting QB.
7. Albany: 7 starters, 3 of 5 who received All CAA, 3 year starting & school record holding QB.
8. Elon: 7 starters, 3 of 4 who received All CAA, 3 year starting QB
9. URI: 7 starters, 2 of 3 who received All CAA, starting QB.
10. TU: 5 starters, 3 of 5 who received All CAA, both All Americans (DE & CB). Return starting QB.
11. Maine: 4 starters, 2 of 5 who received All CAA. Return both starting QBs.

Course some teams will have had unexpected off season losses like JMU has had, and I don't know who got what as far as transfers, which are a crap shoot anyway...

RE: Projections for 2015?
Obviously UNH loses the most after back to back semis. After what was probably McDonnell's best team ever at UNH, he probably loses the most talent & experience he's ever lost. But they've lost a lot of talent before in their 11 straight playoffs. A couple of those times I predicted their streak would be snapped, yet McDonnell always got them back in the playoffs. They again benefit by missing VU and JMU, so I won't bet against them returning.

Maine returns the most. And another thing to note. I see a pattern here...
10' Losing record
11'. Winning record, made playoffs
12' Losing record
13' Winning record, made playoffs
14' Losing record
15'..??????? (do play 2 I-A as they did in 13')

No MEAC in the playoffs this year, so now 10 AQ, 14 At Large. Last yr 4 CAA teams in. This year 4, maybe 5. If I had to go out and make a worthless as titties on a bull prediction here, here are the 4-5:
-VU
-JMU
-UNH
-W&M
-Maine (Maybe, dark horse, may have to beat UNH at home in last weekend to get in).
