A debate with a Bamer has me looking for info ( yeah I know facts to a Bamer is like pointless... But one must try.). What are the average ACT/SAT test scores for students at UAB vs UA? I can't seem to ask the question correctly on scary engines to get an answer. I have heard UAB admission is higher but I want to quantify if that is true.

From what I have read, and sources vary, Alabama's composite score is 26, UAB's is 25.

UA's has risen as of late due to the influx of out-of-state students. Auburn used to have a higher composite score until just recently.

According to UA's site, this year is their highest average ACT ever, at 25.8

The perfect score on the ACT is 36, so any score in the mid or high 20s is a good score. Quibbling over 25 vs 26 is so marginal as to be pointless for its use as a predictor of future success in college. It's like arguing over a >5 point differential in IQ scores.

I don't know the current perfect score for the SAT, but my granddaughter in Indiana scored 1900 and is attending Indiana Wesleyan University.

Since both standardized tests are voluntary and cost a fee, only those with actual college plans usually take them which means most in some schools and few in others.

SAT perfect score was 2400 for a few years, but it's back to the more recognizable 1600 now. This just happened within the last year or two.
