I am a big fan of Sam Adams summer.

Charlotte has a ton of local breweries that put out some good stuff as well.

I'm not a big drinker at all and when I do, it's wine or spirits.... so this was entirely based on the reputation of the stuff, which tells you something.

I'm really not into the seasonal beer thing or craft beers. Too many hipsters into that crap around here and it just turns me off. I pretty much only drink lagers - Yuengling, Red Oak, Sam Adams and Dos Equis. That's basically it.

Don't like beer at all. I tried to drink it on a few occasions, but could never acquire the taste for it. I did have a homemade beer once that actually tasted pretty good.

I rarely drink any more...but when I do I usually drink Seagram's Triple Black or Smirnoff Ice...or mix Rum with some type of grape or cran juice.

I am a Shiner Bock drinker. Can't get Yuengling here, but I have had it in Florida. Good stuff.

Same here. Summer shandies and wheat beers taste like ass to me and the vast majority of local beers seem to be a competition to cram as many hops in a brew as possible and, although I actually like hops, they just don't do it well. Some times I think people are trying to convince themselves that they like a lot of craft beers when the vast majority of them are crap.

In the winter I'm normally a scotch drinker, but perhaps a dark Belgian beer. In the summer I can't drink anything that's not a lager, a pilsner or a gin and tonic if it's 90+ outside. Summerfest, Jever or Staropramen for my sitting on my porch at night and Yuengling pitchers when I go to a bar.

Sometimes I go to the beer shop and pick up some South American or African lager/pilsner, they might not be good but they're rarely bad.

I agree with the hops. I love a good IPA, but sometimes the brewery goes insanely overboard with it.

Boro Blonde from Mayday Brewery is great too. Mayday has a lot of good brews and it is a local brewery (Murfreesboro).

When in doubt, I grab a Lagunitas. The New Belgium Tripel mentioned above is pretty good as well.
