Who knows, in the past I know it was always said "suitcase college" and that it is a ghost-town and everyone is at labor day parties. Maybe NIU football is the party now hopefully, it will be interesting. Id have to think there are at least 18k, if the weather is good the community will swarm to the game at least. One good thing ESPN does is crop out and produce the game to make it appear better attended than it is, I doubt CBSSN will be that advantageous in that respect. I would suspect the MW connection was a deciding factor for the NIU game being the one chosen since CBSSN already has a partnership with the MW

The games vs Ohio State will be on ABC...just like last time.

The 11am ABC window is still open.

Does ABC usually have 11 am games?

Yes, last years OSU vs Kent St game was on ABC at 11am. It was mirrored on ESPN2.

What's strange is Ole Miss - Alabama has no tv scheduled for that day yet. Already a 2:30 CBS game scheduled (Auburn-LSU). I bet Alabama will be a 6pm ish ESPN game.

I feel like we will be 11am ESPN vs tOSU. The other competing game is Illinois-UNC, which is currently listed as ESPN or ESPN2. The other reasonable option is 2:30 on ABC/ESPN2 (vs. Nebraska-Miami).

Quote:Im just happy its a saturday.

Actually, Friday night wouldn't be bad at all. Michigan State AT WMU is big Friday Night game. Big crowd, drunkfest (and babefest; many virginities lost if WMU wins).

But yeah, beats a Thurs opener, even though that wouldn't be bad. I think leading into Labor Day weekend, there's more than enough people living in the Chicago suburbs to make the short drive over for a Thurs night opener against UNLV, with Friday being an expendable day for many for the weekend holiday.

Quote:I dont think ABC... my guess would be ESPNU

I heard it is. But that's regional for ABC specifically. It's National in the sense it will be on ESPN/ESPN2/ABC combo. But ABC the greater region, while another game or two will be played on ABC and it on ESPN/ESPN2 elsewhere.
