It certainly looks really really nice to see the "R" next to 46th ranked Class of 2016 hoops player Josh Hall!

He's actually the 12th ranked player that has actually committed to a school. Exciting stuff!

Rice also has an offer out to #40 on that list (McGusty). Certainly trying to compete with the big boys for some top recruits.

There is no reason we cannot compete with the top boys in not only Basketball or other sports. You need a dynamic coaching staff to get the top players. Look what Tom Herman is doing at UH.

Not necessarily, but if you look at his profile, he already has offers from a slew of Big 12 and SEC teams, including Kansas and Florida. Even if we offered a scholarship, the odds we could pry him away from this schools are slim to none, as of today.

Was there any reason that Southern Mississippi couldn't have expected to get that 5-star receiver they got a several years ago, given all of the other offers he had? Sometimes, you've got to try and fail (see Braun's offer to Cousins a few years ago, which resulted in being among his last 5) - because sometimes you might just succeed.

Cue the Dumb and Dumber clip...
