I got a feeling that we will see a good schedule this season.

Open at Oakland (tough opener with the talent Oakland has acquired).

We owe Coppin State a game which will get us out to Baltimore-Washington probably for two games. We might do a 'money game' against a good foe while there. Doesn't make much sense to travel 500 miles on a home and home series and not bring back some $.

EDIT: Here is a site which tracks those 'exempt' tourneys. Lot still need to be completed so we still have a shot at getting into one. One might note that NIU and Miami are hosting tourneys, as have we in the past.

As I've mentioned we play at Coppin State, in a game we owe as part of home and home. Almost assuredly we will play one or two more games in the D.C. area, presumably one more $ game, while we be in the Baltimore-Washington area.

I wonder if we'll have two or three money games this year.

BTW, UofL is paying 35K for an exhibition game against a D-II opponent. Opponents, any opponents (other than a local NAIA team) don't come cheap.

Shouldn't be a massacre either. Louisville is replacing quite a bit of departing talent. They'll be relying heavily on (ironically) incoming graduate transfer Damion Lee from Drexel. I don't see them being one of Pitino's better squads...hopefully we give them a challenge.

Perhaps the 1 and done Freshman pipeline is running dry for Petino. 13 Freshman were drafted in the first round this year, that's an exceptional haul that not every class can match

We host Detroit on December 28th. Nice. It's been some time since we've played UDM.

I was on campus earlier this week and asked about the schedule. I was told we really reached out to a lot of top teams, e.g. around DC. Like Maryland, Georgetown, etc.

We tried hard.

We will play a number of really tough teams.

Definitely excited about that find!! It's a nice easy drive down from Southeast Michigan to Louisville as well. Trust me, I know that route very, very well! :)

A welcome flood of basketball news this past week. Now if we could get a press release, update the EMU Hoops facebook page and maybe a M Live article or two from Coach Murphy or his staff that would be icing on the cake.

CC and staff do a great job of marketing the football program whether its their tweeter account, E Tough, E Football and Facebook accounts. Hey I check them out every day.

That's about 1/2 of the schedule and no exempt tourney. (most) of our home games are still largely not known and haven't been announced.

Vermont generally seems to be at the top of the America East year in and year out. What is interesting is that Vernont last year made the semis of the CBI and were eliminated by Louisiana Monroe. They won 20 games last year. Seems like a good team to measure up against early on in the season.

They played in the same so called tournament as we did lost in the first round. At leastthey are D1.

The only people that claim the government jobs pay better are those that are ignorant of how the government jobs really are. And for information wage increase for government workers has barely kept with inflation over the last 10 years! Compare that to private sector wages!
