A truly excellent and well-written article. I could not stop reading it. It gave me a new appreciation for the writer (Kelly) and the Northern Star staff. They all should be proud.

I know Im in the minority but this article has a consistent theme in every NS article..."NIU is a second rate undesirable school". Every NS story comes back to that one theme.

Geez MD, ease up. This young woman just told the quintessential NIU story. She knows that she was better off in DeKalb than at Mizzou. She makes me proud of her and my school. We have chips on our shoulders; we are Huskies.
