He got fired for visiting this board. They nailed him on an internet monitoring sweep. He had an interest that was morally reprehensible to the Razorback faith and he was identified as an apostate and terminated.

I hope what you say is in jest. Sounds a whole lot like Orwell's 1984.

I don't know what happened, but I feel very bad for Phil. He has a wife and two small children, and I hope he can find something around here to keep him in the area. I'd love for him to be our men's play by play announcer, but I don't think that's going to happen, since Ray has been involved for many years. Maybe he can get a day job with one of the radio station's sports shows, and either fill in for the UALR men, or get his women's gig back. Or maybe the Travelers job again. I can't imagine what he did, but Joe Kleine was allegedly fired for making some critical remarks about the Hog's basketball team when he did the color commentary back in the day. We might never know what happened.
