So... what's going to happen when Clark cashes his Alabama state retirement after this year, then gets an assistant coaching gig out of state for $1 mil +?

If we have no Clark, then what?

Then we go after Vincent who's at South now. Next question.

I really doubt that UAB will have to replace Clark anytime soon. But if (for any reason) y'all do, Vincent and Croom would both be very strong hires.

For those that doubt we can get enough quality players for 2016 you should check Clark's Twitter feed from the last couple of days. It has blown up with people wanting to come here for 2016. I'm sure that's just a small sampling

It's from all over. Kids in the south and from out west. Mix of JUCO and HS. QBs RBs linemen LBs. Every one has been keeping up with this nationally and as soon as the news hit Monday it blew up.

Do you really think that Clark endured all this not to coach at UAB?

If there is a problem getting his contract done, they only think they've seen trouble. I have never seen a one year coach that was this beloved.

There should be no question about Clark's ability to hire good assistant coaches and to recruit suitable players since he has done BOTH for 2014. What remains questionable is UAB"s determination to turn contributions into the new facilities that are needed for the program to return at a sustainable and improved level of play. Clark proved he could get up to 6-6 with his players and existing facilities , but he has told us repeatedly that he needs the new facilities to go beyond that by a substantial (and sustainable) amount. Shovels should meet ground this summer to maintain our potential for improvement.

IF THAT HAPPENS, UAB can meet the 2016 season deadline and be successful.

Now if UAB can decide where to dig and what to build there, you are ready to have a go at it. To date, all that has been said is about "someday my facilities will come", not what, where or (most importantly) when.

Ditto. Talk about an uprising. In the words of Peter Boyle "That's too much power for one man to have."
