That dollar amount is significant and of major interest in the Boro. McGuire's contract has expired and they are currently negotiating a new deal.

If a new head coach is being given $160K right off the bat what should the reigning Coach of the Year earn? That's nearly double what McGuire was earning.

That's probably where some of that $400K is going to go.
