Ps. Those markets were in reference to Nielsen ratings for 2014/2015 TV markets ratings; Orlando 18th 1,472,960. Cincinnati 36th 876,290 (simply Google top 100 TV markets in 2014/2015).

I try 04-cheers. I don't have any grasp on how Nielsen markets are calculated, do they usually use TV's in the DMA. I simply took the populations of those areas, figured that was probably a fairly simple substitution. Seem odd, because looking at the DMA map (for reference and cool to actually get a full perspective even if it is a bit outdated now: http://seventhpoint.com/images/pdfs/2012...%20Map.pdf ), their borders are pretty much the same as the metro area, and yet they have less than half the total population of our DMA as the amount of viewers in the area. I never realized that the Orlando DMA took up that much of the state.

Funniest observations from that map, apparently the STL DMA goes almost clear into Indiana, the Hartford DMA is practically the entire state of Connecticut, and the Huntington-Charleston (WVA) DMA is enormous for the population, as are pretty much every DMA in the western part of the country.

So many people forget how young the university is. While it's true that a large portion of its 50k plus students are nontraditional/community college types, no one can argue that UCF is getting stronger. Florida, and central Florida in particular, are growing much faster than other parts of the country.

UCF and Cincy make a lot of sense. The combination of athletics, academics, tv numbers etc. is pretty compelling.

A lot of disagreement in this thread, but I think we can all agree this clown needs to be banned. Mods?

Some said that too when UC was in the Big East...but teams like Pitt, Syracuse, WVU, Rutgers, Louisville, etc....were all selected but UC was not...so they were not the first (or even the last) to go.

Conferences make expansion decisions on many variables...and no clue, who or even if those expansion decisions will be made/selected anytime soon.

Only thing that can be confirmed is that the Big 12 (and their TV partners) are at least considering adding new teams....when just 3-4 months ago, Big 12 Commish said that topic was dead.
Really? Who said that? At least we were selected at some point, do not recall UCF being there, but keep posting absolute garbage, you are very good at it.

Selected for what? The hurt feelings bowl? The elitist bowl? The my va-jay-jay hurts Bowl? The butthurt bowl? It's posters like you that add nothing to a debate and bring it down to a dick measuring contest. Ie. My school is better than yours because I say so. The only posts I've seen from you are just sniping! Pure garbage without any factual support whatsoever. You are the proverbial "peanut gallery."

I responded to the jack ass comments about UC thinking it would be called up from the BEAST, but was sorely left behind garbage from the poster you moron. That would be we were valuable enough to be in a BCS conference when UCF was in the crap A sun or whatever. Do they teach reading comprehension at UCF?

If the BIG12 is looking for a 2'6" midget while UCF is 2'2" and UC is 2'1" then it's going to take other metrics to make either attractive. Until the BIG12 specifically states what they are looking for in a potential member y'all might as well be arguing your fencing championships and who has the best chicken nuggets in the cafeteria.

Lol, this is all true except maybe the sad part. We've gotta do something until football season starts.

Tupac was just a 1990's C-USA fan in general.

I would want this dream invite to come true bc then the average recruiting classes excuse would officially be over for UCF's staff.

Sorry dude I missed the connection, I thought the poster was referring to UC getting the call up from the former Big East to a (now) p-5 conference, I didn't see the call you referenced as from the CUSA to the Big East. And no they don't teach reading comprehension at UCF, that should be learned well before college. I'll give you the last word on this because it's getting old, and I'm tired of being insulted and insulting others.

No need for last word, appreciate you responding to the confusion. I should probably learn how to highlight the exact text I was responding to, but I am computer illiterate. No worries! 04-cheers
