They don't have the votes to overturn it.

I don't think Uber is unethical. But the people who think that it is, usually say that they provide taxi-service without being subject to normal taxi-regulations and safety-rules.

For instance, they don't do handicap access, which regular cabs are required to offer.

Having programs set up to track customers usage specifically designed to focus on possible sexual encounters. They think it's fun to track booty calls

"Uber employees were engaging in unethical conduct by ordering and canceling more than 5,000 Lyft rides since October of 2013- “it’s the taxi app version of ding-dong ditch.” What happens is these fake requests decrease Lyft drivers’ availability and instead send users to use Uber. It not only hinders the company, but also jeopardizes the Lyft drivers’ income and the time and money spent on going to the destination, only to have to turn around, passenger-less."

"Uber says it uses an “industry-leading background check process,” [San Francisco Dist. Atty. George] Gascon said, but does not fingerprint its drivers. The company’s criminal checks are thus “completely worthless,” he said.

Not what I meant. See the above reply for complete breakdown of my concerns with Uber
