92 - 1992 ushered in a new era for ETSU football. The Mike Cavan era began with a 03-banghead 5-6 season, though one that saw the Bucs have a nice turnaround with the former Georgia Bulldog. This was a team that was really good in its' five wins, but really struggled in its' six losses. This group would lay a foundation for what became a great run of ETSU teams that finished with winning records, went to the playoffs, and saw the individual record book at ETSU completely rewritten, but even 1992 wasn't without a record setting performance as placekicker Pat Crust booted four through the uprights in a 41-12 throttling of Western Carolina.
