RE: No small thing
So what you are saying, to paraphrase Sir Winston,

"What General Weygand (BamaBlazerFan) called the Battle of France (for Football) is over. I expect that the Battle of Britain (for Facilities) is about to begin."

Is that about the size of it?

Incidentally, if you want some real inspiration, look here:

I hate to get drawn into this, but...
The Nazis won the Battle of France

To be clear, are you complaining about folks rambling on about stuff that has nothing to do with the topic?
Annoying, isn't it?

If you think "The battle for UAB football" is over, just lose "the battle for facilities" and see how quickly the TIDE (pun intended meaning BOT) will turn against us again. Those "Red Elephants" have long memories and a hunger for revenge.

RE: No small thing
UAB hospital is the cash cow of the whole UA system and it happens to be located in Birmingham. I think the BOT vastly underestimated the mayor's and the city council's ability to make life a living hell for them.
