2015 Football TV Schedule
Sept. 5 - Wagner (Rice Stadium) - TBA (No coverage)
Sept. 12 - @Texas (Austin) - 7 p.m. (LHN)
Sept. 19 - @North Texas (Denton) - 1:30 p.m. (FCS)
Sept. 26 - @Baylor (Waco) - 2 p.m. (FSN)
Oct. 3 - Western Kentucky# (Rice Stadium) - 1:30 p.m. (FCS)
Oct. 10 - @Florida Atlantic# (Boca Raton) - 1:30 p.m. (FCS)
Oct. 24 - Army (Rice Stadium) - TBA (FOX*)
Oct. 30 - Louisiana Tech# (Rice Stadium) - 7 p.m. (FS1)
Nov. 6 - @UTEP# (El Paso) - 7 p.m. (CBS SN)
Nov. 14 - Southern Miss# (Rice Stadium) - TBA (No coverage)
Nov. 21 - @UTSA# (San Antonio) - TBA (No coverage)
Nov. 28 - Charlotte# (Rice Stadium) - TBA (No coverage)

Initial Thoughts:

-No 11 A.M. games, YAY!
-Given that there is an approximately -10% chance that Wagner will be on TV, that game better be at night. Especially important given that the weather will likely be scorching.
-Expected that the Texas game would be on LHN.
-Southern Miss, UTSA, and Charlotte all have a chance of getting picked up in the second round of TV games. All three might be a stretch, but at least 1 or 2 of them.

Note that the ASN schedule (listed as "30 games") has not yet been announced. Would not be surprised if all three remaining conference games are picked up on there.

4 of the 6 home games are TBA and/or no coverage. Why do I think at least 3 will be 11 am starts?

Any of the six could be moved to 11 at any time.

Surprised the Wagner game is still TBA. Still making travel arrangements?

Army might very well be an 11am game. Good selection for the first game of a Saturday lineup.

RE: 2015 Football TV Schedule
Except the 11am start hurt homecoming last year so I hope they stay away from the Southern Miss game. I wish they would use only games played in the eastern time zone for the early slot because a noon local start is not as bad. There are enough eastern teams in CUSA.

This looks like a good day trip, especially with the raves about Baylor's stadium. We've had at least one Parliament dinner (at Damian's last year) and of course Parliament-led watch parties. Time for a Parliament-led bus trip?

We already knew the dates, but still a pretty brutal schedule playing 12 weeks in a row.

A bye is different than an open date?

An open date is preferable to off.

(Hope I got in first with that one!!)

A "bye" is for an automatic advancement in tournament play. The NFL (and the media) have hijacked the term, and use it incorrectly. The only proper usage in the NFL is for the top 2 seeds in each conference, once the playoffs begin. Those four teams all have "byes", as opposed to the open dates during the regular season.

Per my brief googling, a bye week can be either of those. It is not exclusive to the tournament format. In regard to a bye week being used in the regular season context, it is described as a mostly US phrase and for leagues where most of the games occur on one day.

I can never tell how I feel about the overall pedantic nature of this board.
