They wanted to put the NCST game on CBS or FOX but on a Fri night. Not sure what kind of coverage it will get now.

Gotcha. I got a bunch of unknown information about a topic I know little about that I don't agree with so I must draw the conclusion that some sinister plot is taking place. Pretty much sums up the Internet.

GNAR, no but if it comes into conflict with ABC programming or sports, you won't see the games on WJLA, which will drastically limit coverage.

lol, our opening game last year had more people than probably 5 GA State games combined.

And if you'd had just one cash drop it would have exceeded their season total attendance!

I was thinking one reason Fox didn't pick up more games is they are not on either Cox or FIOS in our market. Why pick up games when they aren't being shown here in the 757. Might be better for us to have ASN pick up most of the remaining games.

I think there is a lot to what you said here. Also, the biggest pieces of the pie went to the consensus favorites for the championship. I think when we are a consensus favorite to win the East, we will get the same consideration. I will be very surprised if we don't have almost every game on television after the ASN schedule is known.

Sure, I would have liked to see more of our games on FOX, but I am not particularly upset.

Whatever the circumstances are for the lack of national TV exposure, it does leave a bad taste for me. Also, with CBS essentially dumping CUSA, it's hard to see it getting any better. Hopefully the new deal leads to increased national exposure for ODU, but currently we just don't seem much of a factor within the current deal.

Interesting read on how important this years TV ratings are for the conference as a whole.

That was an interesting read... So, I am need to turn on the TV anytime ODU/CUSA is playing... but we are playing on ASN network... (probably at the same time as our fellow CUSA member's games or I'm watching it live and tailgating...). Hope that is good enough. Need to make sure I watch those Thurs. & Fri. night games on TV...

Or set different tv's to different CUSA networks as you go and tailgate. They didn't say you actually had to watch for the ratings to count.

I am still a basketball guy deep down and I really want to see the CUSA basketball exposure grow and including the tounament on a network everyone gets (ESPN). But we know football is the number that really drives the ship.

Unless you have a ratings box it won't matter.

According to a MAC Conference schedule release ODU's game vs. Eastern Michigan on Sept. 5 will be on ESPN3 and will kickoff at 3:00 PM EST.
