I doubt anyone will be allowed to transfer back, without sitting out a year. Got to draw the line somewhere.

Wonder what kind of timeline they will be on for full FBS.

I'm happy for UAB, USA & the SBC. I had it on good authoritIES we were going to take their place, which I couldn't really care one way or the other but at least now I know where our home is -- in the conference we founded and I'm more than happy to be here. Congratulations to Blazer fans!!!

Does this mean that we still have a game against UAB in Birmingham in 2016?

No. We already replaced that game with San Diego State. We had a home and home with UAB in 2015/2016 but now have a home and home with SDSU.

I wonder how long it will be till we see both Troy and USA back on UAB's schedules.

Then that was another goal that was accomplished by dropping football. It prevented/delayed a rivalry game between the two schools which goes along with extra exposure in Alabama's two biggest cities. We should get them back on the schedule as soon as possible. May 2018?

I'm happy for UAB and their fans . . . That program didn't deserve what just happened to it (Being killed and then brought back like Lazarus) And just when it looked like they were starting to make some headway . . . . Geeeez what a freakin' fiasco . . . .

How bad or good UAB will be in a few years is entirely dependent on whether their fans guard the egg fiercely now...or go back to their couches thinking the storm is over.

Here is what I want to know. With all those UAB players that transferred, were they allowed to transfer under extenuating circumstances? If so could UAB get in trouble, with the NCAA, for first saying we are dropping football and now we are bringing it back? Those circumstances no longer exist. Just wondering if the NCAA could feel like doing something to UAB.

They should sit on their hands. Attempting to cause further damage to them would be a PR nightmare.

Great news for everyone concerned. Especially for Alabama-Birmingham and the SBC. All we need now is for Missouri State to apply for admission.

Man, you've been dogging UAB throughout this whole ordeal. What's your problem? Did you want in CUSA that badly?

TXST has been an historically mediocre program. You want us to fold also?
USA has had a program all of how many years? How stellar have you been? Would you feel the same way if it happened to your program?

This will happen 1 of 2 ways. They bring football back and it languishes for a few seasons until Clark can get the recruits, again, that he needs to win or, he will get players that are determined to go to UAB because of what happened, to rebuild from where they left off; to try and prove it was on the upswing. (which will, in turn, prove some of the accusations thrown at the BOT)

My question is, what's your problem, kittymommie? Why don't you worry about TxSt and let him be concerned about what goes on in his state? Does being a "monitor" give you extra privileges such as questioning everyone's post that you don't agree with? My advice to you is get a life.
