So if UAB decides to keep football, would they play next season?

Just wondering because this could be a hint if UAB football is back if there are no games scheduled for UAB.

No. 2016 is the earliest. I believe they've given out scholarship releases and didn't sign anybody for '15.

I don't think there will be shifts. As for 12pm ET Saturday games, I'm sure there will be some.

Also don't believe ASN / Sinclair schedule would be coming out. Probably just games on FOX platforms, CBSSN and ESPN for conference title game.

with the announcement ODU is again slapped by the conference with only 2 games listed with FOX and CBS partners (home vs WKU and UTEP); what a slap in the face. Charlotte gets 3 games, WKU and Marshall combine for 17 games.
We have NCState and AppState at home both would be great games to televise.
I can't wait to leave this dump of a conference.

Granted, but one fewer game than Charlotte? I'm sure there's more to it than meets the eye, but unless there's other outlets to come, it's not encouraging for ODU fans (though I don't hold the conference accountable and rather like it here)

How many games can CBS pick up? The schedule looks about the same as last year, but I know the feeling was that CBS was punting on CUSA

why not hold the conference accountable? we will be on the air just barely more than UAB...the next lowest total of games is 4 for USM (and they should be mad too)

I believe Western only had 2 Fox games last year and 3 CBSS but two of those were coverage for Army/Navy which carries all of their games

WKU will open their home schedule in primetime in front of a national TV audience against LA Tech on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) with a 7 p.m. kickoff,


Saturday, September 26 Miami (Ohio) at WKU 3:30 p.m. EDT/2:30 p.m. CDT

Thursday, October 15 WKU at North Texas 7:30 p.m. EDT/6:30 p.m. CDT

Thursday, September 10 Louisiana Tech at WKU 8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT

Friday, November 27 Marshall at WKU 12 p.m. EST/11 a.m. CST

Saturday, October 3 WKU at Rice 2:30 p.m. EDT/1:30 p.m. CDT

4 of the 6 away games are on TV. Hopefully the other two get picked by ASN. 2 3pm games at home, still leaves room for the other 4 to be night games. I'll happily take it.

The TV networks choose the games, not the conference, I believe.

The NC State game was your best bet for good coverage, but it looks like Sept. 19 is a big day around the conference, and the name recognition probably just isn't there yet. Fox picked up:

UTSA at. Oklahoma State (likely a less competitive game than NCState-ODU)
Tech - K-State
Rice - UNT

Also, I could be making this up entirely, but I seem to remember ODU being one of the more successful market-drivers for ASN.

Haha, seriously? Cry me a river, WKU had to pay their dues before any national TV games came, ODU will have to do the same (I would be pleased with 2 coming off a .500 season in first year in FBS and losing your star QB)..What ODU has been FBS 1 year, I don't think that quite means you have paid your dues and or done anything on the field yet to warrant a slew of national tv games....I am sure ASN will have all of your others games so you will not cry over it...

If you told me 5 years ago WKU would have every football game on national TV I would have laughed at you...

Someone can look it up, but seems like we do have a few more National Games on FS1 and CBBSN overall as a conf. than last season..I could be wrong but seems that way....
