How did the figure suddenly jump to $30 Million? I've seen donation estimates ranging from $17m to $22.5m previously.

The $30m presumably includes pledges, including pledges like the ones from City of Birmingham that are spread out over a period of years, as well as pledges from UAB's Student Govt. body that are subject to approval by Watts.

Its like watching the world poker tournament. Everyone is trying to keep their hands close to their chest and bluff the other guy.

I'll find my green to wear today. You guys deserve this and my hope is after you get it back the city of Birmingham immediately announces plans to build a new football stadium to host UAB, the HBCU game, and to upgrade the bowl game. Let you guys put your money towards building a practice facility.
Good luck today, but whatever happens, this is just the beginning.
