ESPN Game Day
ESPN needs to do a Game Day in 2015 from Legion Field.
Free UAB need to get some UAB flags on Game Day..I always see a Washington State flag in the background on Game Day.
Go UAB
Go Blazers!

The only game that will be played in 2015 at Legion Field will be the Magic City Classic.

I bet we can open the 2016 season to a full house at Legion Field...
Let's send the old gray lady out in style on National TV.

I could definitely see a sold out or near sold out Legion Field for UAB's first game back!

I would bet against this. I think we would have a very solid crowd, and I would do everything I could to go and get people there, but we just don't have that fanbase yet. 70,000 is a lot of people.

1. We have a year-plus to work on it. I don't expect much help from Bartow East Tower, so it's up to us. It's a smaller accomplishment than what we've achieved so far.
2. Legion Field holds about 55,000 with the end zones closed off.
3. I would hope we could get a name opponent who will help with the draw, and whose administration wants to stick a finger in the eyes of Ray Watts, bammer and the Trustees. Having Auburn play us in Legion Field would be a nice callback to 1996, and let them give Tuscaloosa a loud FU. But again, I expect little help from Bartow East.
4. If we have football in 2016 and Ray Watts is somehow still president of UAB, the sound of 55,000 voices chanting Fire Ray Watts would be beyond awesome.

That is true and nothing new. In the 1960s when GA Tech dropped Bama, Bryant had to find an all white team (state law) with an open date for the first game of 1966. The only team he found was LA Tech so they were signed as the sacrificial lambs for that game at Legion Field. What Bama didn't know was that they were bringing in their freshman QB named Terry Bradshaw and a future pro RB whose name escapes me.
Bama was expecting to win 60-0 or so but the Tech offense ran up and down the field though scoring only once. I recall the final score as 35-7 or so - a huge disappointment for the Tide. To this day, 1966 is remembered as "The Missing Ring" in Tide history, and I think that game contributed to that gap. Of course, it may have had something to do with the 1965 "Bloody Sunday" at the Selma Bridge story too.[Notre Dame won that year's NC even with a tie against Mich State]

Auburn's OOC schedule is set for 2016 and 2017. Of course those things can change (as UAB fans know all-too-well), but that would involved a lot of coordination with AU. Their season-opener (3 Sept '16) is home vs. Clemson. Really doubt they would mess with that particular date.
But +1 on the overall idea. As a one-time deal, UAB could fill up LF.

We could schedule two FCS teams in 2016 if need be.

There is NO logical way that even you, and your tangential circumstantiality can argue that this post contributes to this board in any relevant way

Yes. Everyone knows that Bradshaw wasn't the starter in 1966, he rode the bench behind the Duck Dynasty whackjob.
