We haven't ever had to worry about things like that for the last 12 years.

It's a toss up. We didn't have to worry about going to post season for eleven of the past twelve years either.

From the story in this mornings ADG, there appears to be some true mental disturbances issues with this kid. Obviously, also some criminal charges to deal with too.

We're still not entirely sure what happened, because he's been a model citizen until literally the last couple weeks. In the last month, he's been unable to sleep at night...and no one is entirely sure why he can't. Coaches and his parents wanted to check him in to a Behaviorial Health clinic up here for his own safety, and the assault happened when he resisted to it.
Sad story

It is. I'm glad the police showed restraint.

The Police Officer is currently in the hospital.
Again...sad story. Either something terrible is going on with him mentally right now, or we've got a star player whose gone off the deep end. Either way, it's sad.

Need to check for brain tumor. I've read in the past, that when someone's behavior suddenly has a dramatic shift, many times it's a brain tumor. A normally normal, quiet, well behaved person, suddenly becomes violent and becomes abusive or dangerous, it can be an indication of a brain tumor. Not saying that's what occurred in this case, but they need to rule it out.

He is at the prime age for the onset of Schizophrenia. If he was truly a model citizen, good student, etc. up until recently and then began developing bizarre, out of character behaviors this would be a good possibility. If he was just an antisocial "thug", I just can't imagine Brady going out on a limb and talking about what a great guy and model citizen he has been. Drugs could certainly be a possibility. It's strange to say, but if it was drugs it would be a lot better prognosis for Mr. Livingston, than a chronic illness like Schizophrenia.

Let's hope for the young man's sake it is an issue that is treatable and not anti social behavior. And hope the policeman recovers from the blow to his throat which has affected his voice, if I understood correctly. Just too many bad things going on in the world. We know they always have. We just didn't have 24/7 news to report every bad situation.

Yeah, the entire case is strange. Livingston has been the face of our program, never faced an inch of trouble, to the point that he handled most of the media on behalf of the basketball team. He didn't even pick up a Flagrant foul this year if I remember my stats right.
It's completely out of character for him to go after a Police Officer. And trust me, I'd normally be going after Brady because his players have a history of getting in trouble, but this case just doesn't make sense. It was like he was literally fine until a few weeks ago.
