The first flight of the javelin has concluded. As with field events with multiple flights, the higher seeded athletes are in the final flight.

Eric Maher was 29th in the first flight with a best throw of 56.28 meters (184'8").

Javelin - Evan Karakolis (6th)

Chris Pillow is one of two vaulters who have indicated they're passing until the bar reaches 5.30 meters (17' 4-1/2").

Evan finishes 14th with a best throw of 66.51 meters (218' 2"). He misses the finals in Eugene, Ore., by 0.8 meters. Bummer.

And he fails to clear the bar @5.3m. Another no height. Bummer.

Right now, Daisy Ding is in 6th place with 12.87 meters (42' 2¾"). Cybil Obiozor is in 16th with 12.56 meters.

Pole Vault bar is now at 5.35 meters (17' 6½"). Two have cleared, so far.

In her next jump, Cybil Obiozor moves up to 11th.

In the triple jump right now, Daisy is 8th, and Cybil is 12th.

Our 2 triple jumpers are heading to the NCAA Championships, along with Scott Filip in the Decathlon!!!
