A better title would be truisms.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke

"Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana

You can fool all of the people some of the time. And you can fool some of the people all of the time. But you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

... unless you're a Clinton.

RE: Top Political Truisms.
Do you guys even understand the amount of Schaudenfreude I'm going to have to bottle when Hillary wins. I mean you guys can't even let a simple meet in the middle thread go by. Owl you have a no no too. Let's not derail this thread. I was thinking about the one that a liberal is just a conservative before he was mugged. That's as low as it should go. Keep Hillary out of it. No evil party crap. Let's not ruin this guys. This thread could generate some good discussion.

Just read your request, Mach. Here's one that works both ways:

Political talk shows (and sites like this) are to those that watch them as lamp posts are to drunks. They are there for support, not illumination.

I like this one. It's just as effective to discredit the other party as it is to pump yourself up.

The sole purpose of any political party is to gain power and then keep it.
