Get back in your time machine
Kind of funny you mention a time machine, in light of the other thread ("Coming Home"?), where it has been adequately pointed out that UC's advertising has suddenly reverted straight back to the 1980s.

RE: Happy Hour w/ Tommy Tuberville June 4th
My oldest went; he sent a few texts my way and said he'd tell me more next time he saw me. Here is what he said;
Tommy T speaks like a politician in a good way; but seemed genuinely excited about the upcoming season. My son said the three best audience questions in his opinion were:
1. The three year curse (our coaches leave after 3 years) - TT responded that other coaches came he looking for a place to go and he came he looking for a place to stay. He said if he left it would be without his wife who is with family and wants to stay here. He has no plans to leave.
2. His decision to put Kiel back in vs. ECU
3. How he got his nickname "The Riverboat Gambler"
Other notes; well attended, bar packed. They got the UC cheer going. I might have more after I talk to him but maybe others that went can add to the notes.
Edit: One other note they displayed the "Big 12 Reasons" marketing campaign to buy season tickets. I thought that was clever.

I'm sorry I find the "Big 12 Reasons" very odd and almost cruel unless they ARE trying to send a subtle message that UC will be invited.
Why Big 12?
Lists are usually Top 3, Top 5, Top 10, Top 25...no one uses 12.
Especially given the audience in attendance, who are devoted to UC Athletics and know what is at stake, UC Athletics going out of their way to list the "Big 12" reasons for anything would be very misleading and even hurtful if there isn't something behind the "Big 12 Reasons" moniker.

The graphics I have seen do not say the word Big anywhere. It simply says 12 reasons. Also, 12 is used in "The 12 days of Christmas" so it is used sometimes. :)

Might be worth checking to see if the " Big 12 Reasons" was used at the Happy Hour event. Hadnt thought of the 12 Days of Christmas as a list of 12 but I guess it is...still not common to use 12.

My impression was that the list was presented (paraphrasing here)... as here are the big 12 reasons you should buy season tickets (which remember the purpose was to sell season tickets to young alumni)

Curious about the reactions from the CTT HH. Are we back on topic?
