Will this be the season that Georgia State gets its first Sun Belt FBS Win? If this is the year, who will be their first victim?

I want to vote for NMSU, but the fact that they will travel cross country for that makes me hesitant. Maybe USA. Those are the only two schools I can see losing to them.

Is the question the "first" school to lose? Or the school most likely to lose?

Not necessarily. NMSU seems like the most likely candidate to me, and it just happens to be the second game of the season. If they were the last game of the season would they still be first, even if they were most likely?

Really it could be any of us. GSU played NMSU, Louisiana Lafayette, and USA all within three points last year. They have a legit QB that will keep them in games. They will beat someone this year.

I just hope the first win isn't against us.

I think it'll be NMSU or Troy, if anyone. They'll beat UNCC badly though.

I think a lot of people are underestimating Georgia State this year. Their defense will probably be terrible, but their QB is the real deal. He'll probably throw 5+ td's against UNCC.

In the SBC most teams could win on any given Saturday, even GaSt. Idaho is the exception.

We are just that kind of league.

So I picked the team I want to see be the first.

I really want it to happen early in the season... WAY before they play us.

I don't like playing Georgia State with that spectre looming over your shoulder.

I think everyone will agree... It's WAY less of a soul crusher to be the second FBS team to lose to them than it is to be the first.

I think they will beat NMSU because they will be fired up after beating Charlotte. I expect them to start the season 2-0.

we got TWO coaches fired for losing to us when we came out of our losing streak.

granted....there were other factors like both of them being mediocre coaches and underperforming to their talent level (x-man level in the case of arky state) but their was mucho HUMILIATION when they lost to the lowly hilltoppers.

now we're picked to win the cusa east division. you can come a long way fast in sports with the right recruiter. because at the end of the day it's the jimmys and joes not the x's and o's.

are any of the sunbelt coaches on a moderately warm seat where losing to the lowly panthers could be a final straw?

I can't think of any offhand. I would be quite disillusioned with CJJ if we lost to GaSt and had a poor record at the end of the season (2-10 or 3-9 or worse) but some USA fans think the fact we got to a bowl game last year matters (even though we didn't win and only made the game because App and Southern were ineligible and our record actually wasn't any better than 2013)

If ULM played them, I'd say Berry. But I don't see anyone on their schedule that has a potential coach in question.

nah. They will be in the AAC by the time they can beat everyone in the Belt.
