Okay, looks like the cat is out of the bag, so I guess we can go public. I was hoping to delay the announcement until later this morning to give Watts' PR goons less time to react, but you guys are just too good.

The commercial you saw is part of very large media buy which will be airing between now and Monday morning on both TV and radio. The following is copied from an announcement about the radio campaign sent yesterday to those who contributed to the PR fund raiser by the media expert who is my partner in crime.

"Okay We're on Radio starting tomorrow! Stations include: WAPI-AM, WDXB-FM, WERC-FM, WJOX-FM, WMJJ-FM. We have 4 SPOTS on JOX from 6-10am and 4 spots from 3-7pm. Our list includes one sports station, two news talk stations, one adult contemporary station and one country station. JOX was the most important choice but WAPI will be great too. The adult contemporary will get rock and R&B fans, like me, and the country station will get parents, including females, who aren't abundant in talk radio demographics. This is a very solid buy that runs Friday - Monday morning drive time. The radio spot has my favorite line in it, "This message was brought to you by Blazer Fans Worldwide." AND IT WAS! Thanks so much to everyone for helping us get the word out to fund this!"

I will try to put a complete list of the TV media buys as soon as possible, but off the top of my head I know it will a local commercial on ESPN, CNN, Golf Channel, and other cable networks. Locally some of the programs it will be on are: Fox Late News, 33/40 Tonight, and Good Morning Alabama.

With such a large buy over such a short period of time, this is media saturation at its best meant to add more pressure on Pumpkin Head since his PR goons are sure to tell him that we are trying to further turn the public against him.

Many thanks to my media partner; she worked her butt off on this project. She did all of the creative work and pulled in favors to cut down the expense of filming and distributing the commercial - in some cases the work was done for free or for a tiny fraction of the normal cost. That left us more money for the actual media buys. She did a great job, don't you think?

Here is more info on the TV stations on which the commercial will appear:

ESPN, CNN, The SEC Network, FOX Network, The Golf Channel, ABC 33/40, FOX Birmingham.

The commercial should also be on FOX Night News between 9 and 10:35 and on ABC 33/40 Night News at 10

If Watts makes another mistake and doesn't bring the programs back, we are going to collect a lot more money for commercials condemning his decision which will make this campaign look tiny in comparison. Freed from our football pledges we will all be looking for ways to use our money to Watts and the BOT.

Sorry I am so late in responding. No, it is not David Crane. It was guy who used to work for the UAB Marketing Department. (I don't want to spread his name all over the internet without his permission.) According to my media partner she did not want to use a voiceover talent. She wanted somebody real to do the narrative. This guy was furious about the situation and I think you can hear the passion in his voice, and of course he wouldn't take a dime for his work. Like all of us, he was only too happy to do his part.
