RE: USGA Statement after meeting with Watts today
I would like to know what numbers FRW is throwing around. I know $25mil has been reported, but it would have been nice to see it in print from one of these groups. Also, I am curious as how much FRW considers raised. Again, I have seen over $20mil reported, but what number is FRW using?

I think quoted in an earlier post of $25MM is the number, and is a bargain compared to the $49MM outlined in the Carr Report. Whether we get there without finality we'll see.

That was the number said to have been given to the NAS. As we know well, Ray has had trouble keeping his lies straight throughout his 42 years at UAB.

You're one I trust on here so I'll take your word for it. I think this is definitely attainable... depending on which donations/pledges the Liar Watts decides to accept.

RE: USGA Statement after meeting with Watts today
I got it directly from someone who was sitting at the table that $25m was the number. They might be able to squeeze by a bit under that, but that was the number to get it done.

As Brother 59-56 points out, Ray Watts has been known to be economical with the truth.

RE: USGA Statement after meeting with Watts today
From USGA:

"After incorporating donations from the City of Birmingham, Students, and The Alumni Association a projected operational deficit of $11,899,850 is needed. Dr. Watts informed us that 80-90% of that has been pledged from various donors. An additional $12.5-14.5 million is the projected amount for facility funding that is needed for successful team recruitment. We were informed that roughly 10% of that has been pledged. Fulfilling the operational amount projected is first priority in regard to fundraising efforts."

Looks like this doesnt include Filler's amount at all. Tweaking his commitment will get us very close.

RE: USGA Statement after meeting with Watts today
So on the operational deficit, Watts says we need $2.3M if we use the low end of the range or $1.1M if we use the high end of the range.

On the capital side, Watts says we need $13M if we use the high end of the range or $11.25M if we use the low end of the range.

The questions is, is Watts going to demand that the facilities be fully funded up front via pledges? And I agree, it looks like Filler's $7.5M is not included in either of these totals.

So, the number that has been floating around has been met, but now that we're a day away, they're going to demand that the facilities be upgraded immediately with no time to raise that kind of money.

That's certainly what it looks like. 03-banghead

The statement from SGA indicates some wriggle Room? I sure hope there are some big donations being held back.

In any other universe, a university president would be doing backflips if they were able to raise $10-15 million in a month. Of course we end up with the one jackoff who would turn it down.

Filler - who I don't know - strike me through his public statements as one not used to his word being questioned. One's word is only good among men and women of honor - those who also value their own word. Ray Watts has no honor, and therefore does not recognize the word of a man of honor when he hears it. It's going to take more than Jimmy Filler's word to get that money counted.

So we need Filler to change his pledge amount to be usable for general facilities and another 5-10 million dollars to meet all deficits and facility requirements. Lol. 23 hours to do that. Honestly this is just stupid.

Doable if the University itself actually made the effort instead of antagonizing it.
