And there's confirmation that Ray will stand by the Carr Report as well.

Glad you stuck by Watts now, Wes?

I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, but the timing seems incredibly fishy to me. This is the first peep since being the sword used by FRW & UABoT to execute football, bowling, and rifle. So did he just get forwarded another crimson and white check to speak out now to help justify a second death pronouncement on Monday?

So of that $49 million only $22.5 was for football. That's not the way the report was communicated by the administration. They used the $49 million number kill football, bowling, and rifle teams. The latter two don't need million dollar on campus facilities so where was that other $18 million assigned to?

That was the entire athletic department wish list, including things like a full upgrade to Young Field for baseball despite UAB using Regions now, and it was pointed out when the report was first released.

Carr could at least be a little creative in his lying. See page 3:

My thoughts too. We haven't heard from Carr in 6 months... all while he and his company's name are being dragged through the mud yet now all of a sudden, just days before Watts' final decision, he makes a statement. I think he was told to speak out and stand by the report because Watts is about to.

You all see this as a Watts defense, but I'm reading it as a Carr defense, "We never said it would take $49 million to have football...we said $22.5 million"

Yeah, very fishy.

"Carr said his company "affirms its professionalism and quality of work in fulfilling its services to UAB," in a statement to AL.com"

Translation: I delivered what was ordered.

He did...and his report has been intentionally misrepresented by the administration.

I figure an economic report with errors in simple math is not something I'd want to hang my hat on.

Nah. GIGO means that bad data caused a bad conclusion. This was a deliberate hatchet job, made to order.
