Rock and Roll(ish) gigs coming through the region
I'm starting this as a place to put concerts, gigs, venues, etc., about Rock and Roll type people/groups coming through the region. I would expect it should include Little Rock, Jackson, MS and TN, Nashville, etc, for major acts, and maybe not for less notable ones.

SO looking forward to this.

For another show, we already bought tickets to Hall & Oates at Live at the Garden on September 18.

Are we limited to the big names?

My brother said he just saw Elmo and the Shades last night at Neil's. He says it's a great place to hear different musicians. On Thursday nights Jack Rowell invites musicians to come up from the audience and jam.

Last night, Wed, Herman Green played with Elmo last night but not that much cuz it was his 85th birthday.

Now back to the OP. lol.

Sat. Aug. 2 7:30-9:00
Levitt Shell
FREE
Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real

This is Willie Nelson's son. I've seen him on the Farm Aid broadcasts the last few years. His voice sounds like Willie, but this is mostly a rock and roll band. They will probably do a couple of Willie songs and maybe a few covers of other folks along with their original stuff. Do a Youtube search and listen to some of it. If you are in Memphis and like rock and roll, you don't want to miss this.

I heard some total strangers talking about St. Paul at Lafayette's recently. They are now on my Must Hear list.

Jack Rowell's shows are great. You never know who will join him on stage. The new Neil's out east is kind of hidden, but it is one of the premier Memphis music stages...and there are always plenty of cougars roaming around. 03-lmfao I LOVE THAT PLACE!
