U.S. Pilots Complain Their Hands Are Tied Fighting ISIS

How do you win when you handcuff your men? Assuming you want to win…

Quote:U.S. military pilots carrying out the air war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria are voicing growing discontent over what they say are heavy-handed rules of engagement hindering them from striking targets.

They blame a bureaucracy that does not allow for quick decision-making. One Navy F-18 pilot who has flown missions against ISIS voiced his frustration to Fox News, saying: “There were times I had groups of ISIS fighters in my sights, but couldn’t get clearance to engage.”

He added, “They probably killed innocent people and spread evil because of my inability to kill them. It was frustrating.”

We all need to provide Fit with some more humor. This one will crack him up...

Islamic State Chechen Fighters Forced Yazidi Woman To Recite From The Koran While They Raped Her…

Quote:Harrowing accounts of the sexual abuse endured by women and girls at the hands of Islamic State fighters are being recorded by a young Swedish-Kurdish activist living in Kurdistan region named Delal Sindy.

Of all the tragic accounts Sindy has encountered, the case of a 17-year-old Kurdish Yezidi girl we’ll call Suzan has drawn the most online interest. A Facebook post about Suzan’s experience has earned over 10,000 shares.

Suzan’s story is more than just a heart-breaking story of cruelty, slavery and sexual abuse. It also underscores the social stigma that follows some of the abused women for the rest of their lives.

Suzan was held captive by an ISIS militant known as Al-Russiyah. He kept several women as sex slaves until he was killed alongside his bodyguards by Peshmerga forces nearby Shingal.

“He lined the three of us up naked every morning. He would then choose who he wanted for the day,” said Suzan, who added that the extremist would smell each of the young women.

After the leader made his pick, the bodyguards would select from the remaining women for themselves.

“They were terrible. They beat me and would come at least two together,” she said.

In fact, Suzan wished to end up with Al-Russiyah because he didn’t hit the women as the others did.

“It was like choosing between death and death,” she said.

Prior to being sold to Al-Russiyah, Suzan was held in a hotel in Mosul called Galaxy. She described a building full of women and girls, all half naked or semi-naked.

This one will really make Fit split a gut laughing...

ISIS Holding Public Executions In Palmyra’s Ancient Roman Theater, 15 Men Shot Dead….

Quote:(AP) – Syrian activists say Islamic State group militants have shot dead a group of detainees in the Roman theater in ancient ruins of Palmyra.

They say Islamic State gunmen killed at least 15 men after accusing them of having fought with President Bashar Assad’s troops.

The incident — the first since the group captured the historic town in central Syria earlier this month — was reported by activists belonging to a Palmyra-based media collective and the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

They said the militants gathered people in the theater to watch. The theater is part of the 2,000-year-old Roman-era ruins in Palmyra.

RE: U.S. Pilots Complain Their Hands Are Tied Fighting ISIS
A real problem here is that we keep saying we favor democracy in that part of the world, but if you had a democracy ruling western Iraq and eastern Syria, ISIS is probably who would get elected. And it probably makes more sense to split Iraq into three states (Shia south, Kurd north, and Sunni west) and Syria into two (Shia west and Sunni east), and probably combine the two Sunni pieces. They would have a very difficult time standing on their own as two separate states. This is actually the one good idea that I recall Joe Biden ever having. But if you did it, then you are looking at a country run by ISIS.

Problem is that there aren't any competent Iraqi Air Controllers on the ground to call in the Airstrike.

We can't drop unless we are 100% sure what we are targeting. Imagine if we hit an Iranian Militia by mistake.

Yes, but the underlying problem is that we worry too much about things like this.

Suppose we just said if you screw up we're going to show up, and if we show up we're going to kill people and break things until you start behaving, and we're not going to apologize for anything. Guess who'd want to see us? Guess who'd behave?

Seems like what You thought. Obama doesn't want Muslim blood on His Hands and limits His Kills to the one's He can claim credit for like Al Qaeda and ISIS Leaders and Household names as those are the ones folks remember. He has No plan except making it harder for the Next President. He is washing His hands of the mess.

20 Green Berets embedded with Laser Designators and Radios and we wouldn't be having this discussion. But you are right, we need to grow a pair or else.

I'd much prefer some logical consistency. Obama was elected to get America out of the quagmires of GWB. I disagreed but so be it. Why in year seven of his administration is there a deafening silence regarding the fact the not only is the US still engaged militarily in the Middle East, but that we have actually expanded our Area of Operation?

Because it's the Messiah doing it, and not the evil Bush, so it must be right.
