Yes.

Dems (through the federal government) have made fathers unnecessary, unwanted, and undesirable.

This. The feds destroyed the black community with social programs like the great society bred dependency. As a result blacks are stuck on the Democrats Plantation. They think the dems want to help them because they provide free stuff but don't realize it is merely a way to keep them dependent and beholden to the dems. The Republicans know they will never get that vote so they don't waste time on it. So social decay continues. it will just keep getting worse and worse because of the lack of strong families and values. the community has to self-police and correct. No one from the outside will be able to solve the problems. It's not a problem of money, it's much more basic.

so how do you draw that conclusion from this picture?

If you were a black person and you saw that crowd, would you think their political agenda would be friendly to you?

So are you saying that because there are no black people in that crowd, that they are all racist?

It's the cycle I've seen over the years. Do you think the dems have really improved the plight of African Americans? even prominent black social and media leaders have recently questioned why the A A community keeps voting for the dems.

I was asking him if that is what he thinks, and why he is drawing the conclusion that people protesting Obama's political views would lead someone to think that these same people don't care about helping the lower class improve.

I would listen to the speakers and inquire of those in attendance before making an uniformed assumption based upon unfounded preconceptions.

A good bit of the problem is...the "black community" is pretty much non existent.

How are you going to talk them if they don't exist?

They don't "ask" for black votes.

They do, however, "assume" (correctly) that 95%+ of blacks will vote for them no matter what the circumstances.

Barack Obama could detonate hydrogen bombs in the middle of Harlem and Compton and still get at least 90% of the black vote.

Not that the Republicans are any better, but I see this sheepishness as unfortunate.

Sorry it was 93% in 2012 and 95% in 2008.

88% for Kerry in 2004, 90% for Al Gore in 2000.

Do I need to keep going back?

To most, nothing. Saying that opportunity exists if you are willing to work for it will never beat out Robin Hood mentality that is peddled by the DNC. You really think Republicans want anyone to be poor in general, or blacks specifically? If the GOP is as ardent the capitalists pigs that they are made out to be, the only way to get more cash money is for the populace to have some to spend in the first place.

And while Santorum has faults, only someone with selective hearing and biased reasoning would interpret what he said in a minute clip as somehow not wanting blacks to succeed.
